This pretty much sums up the weekend....
"Ronnie Perrine Jr.(0j) got into Kevin Reeve while battling for second place behind Miller sending Reeve spinning and bringing out the first caution flag early in the race. (He didn't just get into us, it looked as if he had no brakes or steering.)
Perrine then got by Miller for the lead a couple laps after the restart despite some right front fender damage.
Schroyer all but saw his championship lead evaporate after he lost it off of turns one and two on lap six to bring out another caution. Schroyer had to restart at the tail of the field.
Miller was hungry for the lead once again and began to pressure Perrine. By lap 10, Miller was back out front. A short time later, Zach Olger joined the fray and began to pressure Miller for the lead.
About the same time, Kevin Reeve had worked all the way back to fifth after his early caution but hit the wall and tried to limp back to the pits. That brought out the yellow flag and ended his night and dropped him back from fifth to sixth in championship points." Full story here on Oakshade's Website.
There was another car involved with Kevin getting into the wall, but was not their fault.
Oakshade still refuses to use the black flag and now it looks like you can just run into anyone you want and keep your spot. Several drivers also voiced their thoughts on this to us as well. We are not happy about the situation at all!
We feel this could have been a top 3 night, if not a win which would have moved us to 4th in points. In the end it was not the hack by the 0j that put us out of the race, but it did put us back in the pack. On to Championship night next week where we will be putting the 0j behind us, literally. |
