As most of you that come here know, racing is not a cheap sport. We are in a constant search for funding of our racing efforts. We operate as a media marketing outlet much like TV or radio and can provide some unique services to companies and organizations that normal newspapers and radio can not. If your company or a company you know would be interested in getting on board, please feel free to contact Reeve Racing: 517-563-2124. We would like to discuss the opportunities we have and the services we can provide. Thank you.

May 9th Results - 6th
Tuesday, 12 May 2009

The second night of the season at Oakshade...the weather has been touch and go for the last couple of weeks in Michigan, but Ohio has been pretty clear. This probably had something to do with the high car counts the past couple weeks. Again with 50+ cars on the grounds which also included Cruz Pedregon, the track was much better and in great shape.

Kevin would get a decent draw and start 3rd in his heat race..and run 2nd once again while gaining on the leader. After a quick caution with only a few laps to go, Kevin didn't get a good restart and lost some ground on the leader, but would pull away from 3rd....on the feature re-draw.

Starting 9th on the grid this week, Kevin would quickly make his way to 6th spot before having a little trouble with 4th and 5th...they were battling and Kevin got a huge run on the high side coming out of 4. 4th and 5th would get together and move up the track and tangle with the left front of the 117 getting him out of shape. Kevin would gather it back up and get back to work from the 7th spot. With a spin by a front runner and getting around one or 2 more cars, he found himself in the 4th spot once again. Unfortunately we also made some change to the car this week, which didn't work so well in the feature and the car started to slip back. With only a handful of laps to go, 2 cars where making hard charges from deep in the field and got by putting Kevin back to 6th at the checkers. Back to the first weeks setup with some other changes for this week.

May 2nd Results - A Top 5
Tuesday, 12 May 2009

The first night of the year was pretty good for us at Oakshade. With 50 cars in attendance we had some work to do to make the show. Kevin would start out the night with a bad draw and start dead last in his heat race. On the drop of the green he would shoot to the bottom and and pass 6 cars in the first turn. He would be in third by the back straight on the first lap. The track was way rough in 1 and 2, so it was a roll of the dice if you lost or gained time there. Luckily Kevin got through perfectly on the initial lap. Nearly half way and kevin had worked his way into 2nd and a redraw spot for the feature. With the laps winding down, Kevin was unable to close the gap that the leader had built while working around the 2nd place car.

For the feature, Kevin would line up 3rd on the grid. At the green the inside row did not get a good start and would drop Kevin back to 4th. While battling to get by the 3rd place car, Kevin tried to go on the high side with the 3rd place car thinking the same thing...resulting in several lost spots while trying to get back on the track. While not quite to half way, Kevin found himself as far back as 7th and was clawing his way back. The car was good and he was able to work his way back to 4th by the checkers. All in all the best first night of a season ever for us. The work we have done over the winter appears to be paying dividends in the speed department. We won't be racing on Friday nights for a few more weeks until school is out and busses are not running. Next week, back to Oakshade.

The 2009 Season Is Now!
Friday, 01 May 2009

Well the 2009 race season is upon us. Reeve Racing is ready after a good test and tune last weekend at Oakshade. This Saturday night(5/2), is the opening night for the late models at Oakshade and we will be there.

Just some other updates, Reeve Racing has aquired a 2nd engine as backup for the 2009 season along with another engine that may be made avalible to us if the need arises. That now give us some comfort in running 2 tracks each week again.

We will not be making the trip to Mt. Pleasant tonight as we wanted to start the season at Oakshade, next week is a firm date as of now, but things can change as they often do.

We still have T-Shirts for sale and they will be with us at Oakshade. $20 for one and $30 for 2.

Regular race updates to be posted here when the webmaster gets some time during the week following the races.
